Minnie, a second-generation jeweler born in Hong Kong and raised in Oakland, grew up in her parents’ jewelry wholesale business, MCM Supply Inc. Guided by her parents, she learned that running a small business was about building relationships and treating customers like family, a value she carries to this day. Stan, born and raised in Oakland, started working at MCM as a teenager. What began as a part-time job quickly developed into a genuine interest in how a small, family-run business operates, especially one that treated clients like extended family. It was a hands-on education in service, trust, and the quiet strength of building something meaningful together.

Together, they turned their shared roots into a dream of their own: Mist Fine Jewelry. The shop reflects the warmth of their upbringing, the lessons they learned working alongside family, and a genuine love for connecting with people. Every piece is made with care and intention, meant to hold meaning and celebrate life’s milestones. To them, jewelry isn’t just about how it looks, it’s about what it represents and the stories it carries.

Outside the shop, they’re just as committed to living well and having fun. They strength train together, explore ways to boost their health and performance, challenge each other in Jeopardy!, and cheer loudly for the Warriors and Giants. Minnie loves karaoke and her weekly hip hop class, while Stan geeks out on all things tech, loves cooking, and occasionally DJs for fun.
